In recent years the coffee house has been given a whole new image, with trendy makeovers, themes, and personality helping produce a huge range of unique spaces to study, work, and meet loved ones.
Many people would love to take something of the atmosphere home with them, warmed by the comfort and aroma of coffee (and they can!). They’re a fantastic source of inspiration so we’ve selected a few chic spaces to demonstrate ways to replicate the elements and style of some of our most beloved cafes.
And the great news is - they can! We've checked-out three red-hot coffee shops - in the design sense, of course - and below, we'll show you how to whip up the same look at home with our tiles.
Light and airy Scandi style
Bright, airy spaces are a modern favourite, bringing the joy natural light into the design, combining it with light colours, natural materials, and organic accents. Take Scandinavian style Brew92, shown above, as an example, with large glass fronts complemented by the collection of three different surfaces, a plain white hexagonal tiled floor, a patterned grey, white, and blue worktop side, and a marble worktop.
Mono WhiteAt Porcelain Superstore we have incredible dupes for all three of these. The classic white hexagon of Mono White, shown above, with a standard grey grout is perfect for flooring. To tile a worktop side in the same mismatched style is also extremely easy as we have a number of similar designs to choose from.
Harlequin Blue takes the same colour scheme with mix and match geometric shapes, Medina Blue Cubes and Cotto Trellis have similar aged effects, and triangle patterns, and the monochrome Diamond Twist offers an exciting geometric pattern and plenty of character.

A simple marble-look adds the elegant final piece, utilising the material as a worktop or splash black. Timeless White, Astoria Luxe, and Celine White all do the trick.

On trend terrazzo
Another fantastically unique space bursting with interior inspiration is Elixir Bunn. Taking to the ever-trendy terrazzo, this café is designed to represent coffee in all its forms.
Combining the stracciatella flooring with warm nutty browns and a deep dark blue, this space oozes style. For a similar effect at home our Arlo Light provides flecks of brown alongside greys and blacks for a terrazzo look with a touch of comfort.

Or perhaps choosing to incorporate the blue and having a softer, more delicate look, Tutti Frutti’s fun flecked surface could be the right choice. Adding extra interior elements, including looks of rich woods and stunning curves will help complete the look.
Industrial Chic
For an entirely different style of space we are looking to the ICE Café in Suffolk, an interior awash with industrial chic and moody surfaces.
Here our Urban collection is perfect, with three shades – Dark, Mid, and Light – offering a range of attitudes.
Dark, worn wood effects act as the perfect complement to an industrial interior, such as Hudson Mix, Driftwood Sand, or Life Anthracite. Tiles with an aged effect act to provide the charm of a well-loved space, ideal for an industrial interior.
